Edward Stanley Michael (May 2, 1918 – May 10, 1994) was a United States Army Air Forces officer and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his actions in World War II. Michael was transferred to the Air Force after the war, and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1971. Michael joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1978. He died at age 76 and was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, Utah. Michael's official Medal of Honor citation reads:
