Candy Parkin applied for a modelling course with the Jet Girl Agency in October 1975. She was turned down by bosses David Law and Angie Dean, who told her that they couldn't find a place for her even if she waited. Unbeknown to Candy, David and Angie were actually trying to get what money they could from their new students before absconding; Tricia Hopkins and Gail Potter were among those who were conned.
