Walden finds out about all the jingles that Charlie wrote and sings them out loud, causing Alan's grief to get the better of him. When he finds out that Walden donated his now deceased brother's piano, an object that has many memories of the latter tied to it. Jake also admits to Alan that he loved and misses Charlie and he does not want to the like any of the family members. Alan drowns his sorrows with alcohol at a local bar. After watching Walden picking up another woman named Alicia, he returns home with them and steps out on the deck to talk to Charlie, seemingly becoming insane.
