Marcie travelled back in time, sent back by an unknown other, to gain Jack Calwin's help. She burned a vanilla candle in his office to gain his attention, knowing he hated the scent, and then told him she'd need his help, to save his youngest daughter's life in the future. She mentioned that her own time's Jack would be unable to help, but didn't explain why. She also didn't explain what threat Nicole would be facing, but it is believed to involve Jerry Hardy, Marcie's ex.
