Alger County is a county in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Set off in 1885, the county seat is located in the county's only city: Munising. Alger County in modern times is most noted for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located along the Lake Superior coastline, northeast of Munising.
