Princess Dala, played by Claudia Cardinale, is the princess of Lugash and original owner of the Pink Panther diamond in the first film. Although in the recent relaunch, which is supposed to be a prequel to the originals, the jewel is found in the possession of a coach, it is not explained how it later got to its rightful owner. The princess receieved it as a gift from her father when she was a child.
