Denny Bull was a heavy for money lender Frank Mottram. In 1995, Frank sent Denny to put pressure on Steve McDonald to settle his debt with Frank. Denny initially called at Steve's flat, where he scared Fiona Middleton by smashing a chair against a wall and threatening to have Steve beaten up. When Frank heard nothing more from Steve, Denny went to Dun 2 A T to make it clear to Steve that Frank wanted paying right away. Steve was unsettled by the encounter and, after being refused a loan by Vicky Arden, disappeared to London for a few days.
