Doctor Quinn was one of the medical staff who cared for Ken Barlow after he injured his back in February 1992. Following a mylogram, Doctor Quinn advised Ken that he wouldn't need an operation but would have to stay in bed for a while. He refused to discharge Ken without having someone look after him at home. Emily Bishop suggested that Ken could sleep in her front room.
