The 1990 Busch 500 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 25, 1990. Ernie Irvan led 120 laps and held off Rusty Wallace for Irvan's first career victory. Points leader Mark Martin finished 3rd and expanded his points lead on Dale Earnhardt (8th) to 37 markers.
