The Xona and Xani had migrated to the island of Ixania in 337 BC, and made contact with one another peacefully. However, when the vast wealth of the island was discovered, and the difficulties of surviving on the then-harsh land was made appearent, both sides sought to remove the other so as to achieve supremacy on the island and hoard the wealth and power to themselves. The two coming from long-established warrior cultured were equally matched against the other, and saw few actually gains worth noting. The two fought across the entire span of Ixania seeking to gain a foothold somewhere.
