The Forward Party of Dolgaria is headed by the Party Leader, of which there have been thirteen (twelve if counting former leaders who won non-consecutive terms) since the party's creation in 3752. Leaders are elected exactly one year prior to the Dolgarian federal elections. After being elected at the party level, the incoming leader is given a year of preparation before replacing the previous leader, which happens on the same day as the federal election. This happens regardless of whether or not the Forward Party's leader is elected as the head of state.
