Politics is the first official single by Royce da 5'9" that was released on the 28th of June in 2005, from his third studio album, Independent's Day that was released on the record label M.I.C. Records, the single along with the music video were released on the same day as the album. The song features R&B singer Cee Lo Green, though he only sings the hook. "Politics" is produced by Nottz who also produced a huge variety of the album containing this song. The "Politics" single is available as a digital download from iTunes as well as available for being streamed through Royce's official website, there is no CD single for the song however. "Politics" was written by Royce da 5'9" and co-written by Cee Lo Green. The A-side for this single is "Wet My Whistle".
