Wands of fire are wands that, when "z"apped, fire a beam of fire in any of the eight directions. They can be zapped at the player, also. This will make them take significant damage unless they have intrinsic fire resistance or immunity, and cause item destruction on top of that. This wand has a range of 16/8/6 for B/U/C respectively. Additional 1 range is added for each 5 character levels.
