James Cavally was an assistant eccentrics collector who uncovered an ancient story about Ra's al Ghul among collection of his uncle Berthold in 1952, when the senior Cavally died in a house fire. Out of extreme caution, he offered the parchment to the Olympus Gallery in New York City, photocopying both the original parchment and his uncle's work on it and forwarded the photograph to the auction held there fifty-three years later. When Cavally died in airplane crash a week afterwards and the items in the catalog were destroyed with him, the gallery kept the copies to convey their deepest sympathy to his family and friends on his loss.
