The Swallow-winged puffbird (Chelidoptera tenebrosa), also known as the swallow-wing, is a species of puffbird in the Bucconidae family. It is the only member of the genus Chelidoptera. It is found in Brazil and the entire Amazon Basin; also Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, the Guianas, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, and Peru, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical and tropical swamps, and heavily degraded former forest.
