War Sphinxes are old mechs used by the Forerunners as their tanks, first seeing service in the Forerunners' war with Prehistoric Humanity in large numbers. Warriors continued to use said War Sphinxes well into their subsequent war against the Flood, they are considered outdated and unneficient antiques, as they are now replaced by the Seekers
