Deer Valley Resort is a luxury ski resort located near the historic mining town of Park City, Utah approximately 36 miles (58 km) east of Salt Lake City. It has 21 chairlifts, 91 runs, and three day lodges. Deer Valley has 1,825 acres of mostly North-facing ski slopes. Lift ticket sales are limited to 6500 each day making it one of the highest uphill capacities in the United States. Deer Valley was built at the former site of "Snow Park," a ski area which operated from 1946-69.
