King signed a one-year deal with Preston North End agreeing terms with manager Graham Westley, with whom he worked at Farnborough. After starring in a 2-0 friendly win at Southport, King said: “I’m enjoying it. From when you are a young kid it is obviously everyone’s dream to be a full-time professional footballer and now I have realised that dream. “It is hard work, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!"
