Katie Heyman was born on October 15, 1970 in New York Downtown Hospital, Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York City, New York, United States. She was the only daughter of Katie Rosaen and Robert E. Heyman. When she was little she caught, Stage 4 Lyme Disease. After she caught Lyme Disease she became a big fan of Bernadette Peters. In 2011 she sent a letter to Bernadette Peters and when she went to one of her plays Katie met her and said, "Hi Bernadette Peters I was the one who sent you the letter!" Bernadette stop and looked at her and said" Oh I hope you feel better!"
