The unnamed court Clerk was present at several hearings and trials of Coronation Street residents. The first was the preliminary hearing of Tony Gordon for the murder of Liam Connor and attempted murder of Roy Cropper, which was heard at Weatherfield Magistrates Court in November 2009. He was also present at both Magistrate and Crown Court throughout the first half of 2010 at the trial of Gail McIntyre for the murder of her husband Joe, a charge for which she was found "not guilty".
