Gary Dean Kimura is a Professor for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington and a software developer who worked for Microsoft. Born in 1956, he was brought up in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from University of Washington in 1984 with a doctorate in computing science. After graduating he went to work for DEC in Seattle for Dave Cutler.
