The Great Patriotic War was the name coined by the New Pacific Order and New Polar Order for Great War I. The difference in terms relates to the differing views that members of the NPO/NpO and CoaLUEtion had upon the reasons and purpose of the war. As the CoaLUEtion grew in size and the war matured, it shifted from being a tactical war into one where the NPO and NpO were fighting for their very survival rather than victory, hence coining the term 'patriotic' war.
