Professor Gorman came to Emma's house under the request of Miranda Holt who though that the mermaid had contracted highly contagious tropical disease and needed the help of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control). Professor Gorman lead the quarantine team to Emma's house. But after his arrival, the preliminary test results came back negative of any infection, with the exception of Elliot, who had the measles. Professor Gorman was disappointed in Miranda Holt, for wasting his time.
