The Sand Dweevil appears in Pikmin 3 (Flish addition). They shoot out sand when threatened, which only Tan Pikmin (Pikmin 3) are immune too. It is best to not try and kill these without tan pikmin because the sand kills all other pikmin immediately. they will often appear as annoying enemies wandering around boss arenas. they, along with armored dweevils are the only kinds of dweevils that appear above ground.
