The PT Farnsworth was a Federation type 15 shuttlepod that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century, attached to the USS Enterprise-D. It was shuttlepod number 10. Early in 2366, the PT Farnsworth was listed on the shuttlebay operations display as being overhauled in Hangar 5. (TNG: "Evolution" , okudagram) This shuttlepod was only mentioned in writing. The shuttlepod is likely named for Philo Taylor Farnsworth, inventor of the video camera tube, the image dissector, and the first fully electronic television system.
