Gordon Holcomb was a Major who participated in the mission in Afghanistan in which John Mayne later disappeared. As a result, Mayne was declare MIA (Missing in Action) for six years up until his appearance in Double Identity (episode). While out on a stakeout, Agent Ziva David discovered that Holcomb was having an affair with Leah Mayne, Mayne's wife.
