Rupee Fairy appear in Rupee Competition Scenarios found on the Termina Adventure Map. Capturing one of these fairies causes enemies to start dropping a higher number of Rupees for a limited amount of time. They are drop by enemies called Fairy Hunters. When a fairy hunter appears it is wise to defeat it and claim its Rupee Fairy, as Enemy Competition (who the player is competing against) will try to defeat Fairy Hunters and capture their Rupee Fairies. Fairy Hunters are represented by a Rupee Fairy on the mini-map allowing them to be easily tracked down.
