She was originally named Amaterasu Fushoune, but the word Amaterasu and its Kanji equivalent are related to the Japanese Shinto Goddess Amaterasu. This was considered sacrilegous and blasphemic, and her creator was alerted of this issue. Picking up from her creator's imposed pet name for her as Amu, her name issue was remedied. Now, she is known as Amu Fushoune.
