The Lanep System is located near the border of Earth Alliance space. In the 2250s, Earthforce New Technologies Division established a base in the Lanep System to experiment with Shadow Technology after a Shadow Vessel was discovered buried on one of the planets there. In 2259, the EAS Cerberus was destroyed in the Lanep System by a malfunctioning Shadow Hybrid.
