The AR250 has all basic Artist features but unlike most models which proceeded it in the series, it was produced outside Japan. It features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top with binding mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls.
