Gaita-Lurdes Essami, better known by her stage name Gaitana, is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter of Congolese descent. She released her first album in 2003 and combines elements of jazz, funk, soul and folk sounds into her music. To date she has released seven studio albums. She is best known for representing Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku with the song Be My Guest, finishing in 15th place in the final.
