Charles along work alongside his brother as they produced films, such as Field of Dreams, Lock Up, K-9 and Waterworld. He also produced other films like Unlawful Entry, October Sky and Hitman (which starred Live Free or Die Hard actor Timothy Olyphant and was co-written by Skip Woods).
