A former electronic warfare officer with the GRU, Makarova was assigned to Detachment 51 during the worst years of the collapse, and ordered to re-organize the unit for intelligence gathering and urban warfare duties. Her efforts were brutally successful, disrupting a network of anarchist cells in the southern district and putting an end to food riots raging in Volgograd and Astrakhan. Her unit is equipped with a wide range of UAVs, including advanced Tu-4 Shrike drones modified for urban warfare and crowd control.
