Lisa Bennet, a member of the Old Families, is the wife of Errol Bennet and mother of Ark Bennet. She encouraged her son to become a scholar, so that he could "give something back" (to the community) and to insulate him from the family's financial dealings. However, Ark wasn't inclined to this line of work and her husband was against it, insisting that Ark was to remain a "spare heir" in the event of something happening to their daughter Tara.
