Bartlomiej 'Bartek' Gawel is the lead concept artist at CD Projekt RED and responsible for the character model creation The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. He was born in 1979 and lives in Warsaw now. He graduated sculpture in Academie of Fine Arts in Poland, where he learned strong traditional fine art skills. In 2011 Bartek Gawel was rewarded with the fifth place at the international "Dominance War IV" contest, an annual Game Artist Competion where (game) artists from all over the world present their best works online to become World Champions.
