Josef Hanlon was a man who was also the father of Spencer Hanlon, a business heir who was also the Privileged Killer. After realizing that NCIS knew about his son, Josef responded by knocking out NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee which left McGee unconscious for a time. Josef then contacted Spencer to inform him what was going on and then headed into the bathroom where Josef knowingly overdosed on some pills, resulting in his death with FBI Special Agent Tobias Fornell later discovering Josef's remains.
