Indrala has a very long and rich monarchic tradition, stretching back to the Kingdom of Gemu-Erka in antiquity. However, the first native dynasty to unify Indrala was the Great Xinhan Empire, which was created in 950 and lasted until 1153. It was only in 1213 that Indrala would once again be brought under a single authority, with the creation of the United Indralan Commonwealth. After its collapse, the island was slowly brought under Alorian rule, and in 1836 the Alorian King became Emperor of Indrala.
