Tailor's shop is the center location of Tailor Smurf's activities in the Smurfs comic books and the Smurfs cartoon show. It is where Tailor makes all the clothes for his fellow Smurfs as well as diapers for Baby Smurf. In the cartoon show, Tailor tends to be a traditionalist and will rarely make clothes for other Smurfs besides Papa Smurf that looks completely different from any other Smurf, with a few exceptions such as possibly Sweepy Smurf. In the comic books, the Smurfs eventually develop their own style of dress.
