HMS Defiant was a starship of the Royal Manticoran Navy. In July 1672 PD, the Defiant was part of Commodore Edward Saganami's anti-piracy force that was destroyed along with HMS Triumph in battle against pirates from Trautman's Star. Saganami mentioned her as lost in his final message to Queen Adrienne. (SI1)
