Sourgall was a loyal rat soldier in the horde of Urgan Nagru. Sourgall attempted to prevent Gael Squirrelking and his family from escaping and helped rescue Silvamord who had fallen in the moat while pursuing the fugitives. He guarded Mariel, Dandin and Meldrum when they were taken prisoners in the North tower of Castle Floret. Sourgall was also involved in the many attempts by Nagru's horde to attack the prisoners. He was slain by an arrow from Rab Streambattle as he was reporting the death of Captain Graywort.
