The Empress was an interstellar cruise liner operating in the early 22nd century. It made runs from Station 9 to Azure and back. In 2116, the Empress collided with the Hecate on emerging from hyperspace above Azure, causing the two vessels to become fused together. The two ships were eventually separated by the Fourth Doctor.
