Mongi Mthombeni appeared as a Croupier in the 2008 spin-off DVD Coronation Street: Out of Africa. An an actor in both film and on stage for ten years, he has also appeared in Avenger, ER and Swop!. He is a founding member of the Eastern Cape drama company "Ubom".
