The Scarab-class starship was a type of Federation long range intelligence cruiser created by Starfleet around the 25th century. This class is an offshoot of the earlier Nebula-class starship. Four of these were built. The vessels measured 442 meters in length, 479 meters in beam and 131 meters in draft, and had 7 phaser arrays on the outer hull in nominal configuration.
