An Anti-Mage or Mage Blaster trap will only affect characters that are related to the mage class in some way: mage , bishop , or samurai . When triggered, the anti-mage trap may affect any or all mage-type characters in the party. They will immediately be either paralyzed or stoned , and excluded from looting the chest that held the trap. If a character has mage spells from a previous class, but is not currently a mage-type class (for example, they were a mage and changed to a fighter ), they will not be affected by the trap.
