He was a member of a delegation of representatives from the twelve largest nations on Botchok that informed the alien masters of the Orion race of the impending ecological catastrophe caused by the Atom War and Long Winter and suggested that the Orions be allowed to repair the damage themselves, leading to the Accord of Namazz. (FASA RPG module: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge) To have his name even survive the wiping implies that Dufen was a significant member of the delegation.
