Ven Kaldarren was a male Betazoid in the 24th century, the son of Molaranna Kaldarren. Kaldarren was a xenoarchaeologist, and received his post-graduate degree from the Tarkava Institute on B'Utu Aura. In 2316, Kaldarren was part of a group of Betazoid xenoarchaeologists invited to the Federation Archaeology Council symposium on Rigel III. They were transported there aboard the USS Argos, where Kaldarren met a Human Starfleet Lieutenant named Rachel Garrett. The two fell in love and were married soon after.
