Depends on ones perspective. If you believe that there are trillions of planets in billions of galaxies then it seems unlikely that Earth is the only one of those that got lucky enough to produce life. If this(or something similar is ones belief)then aliens are most likely real. Religious belief can weigh in heavily on extraterrestrial beliefs, and those vary between religions and even between sects of the same religion.
