Bristol Rovers and Doncaster Rovers have met on 37 occasions, the first was on 24 August 1953, when Doncaster won 1-0 at Eastville. The two teams met in 2007 at the Millennium Stadium in the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, a game which Doncaster won 3-2 after extra time.
