The duneclaw, also known as a guuria, was a non-sentient beast native to the planet Tatooine. It was rarely seen on the planet's deserts, this because it preferred to hunt near Tatooine’s cliffside caves and other dark, enclosed spaces, thanks to its ability to navigate in dim light through echolocation and also to receive sound waves made by other creatures. Although its appearance reminded a manka cat, the duneclaw was much different from the Alderaanian feline: it was an omnivorous, reptilian and solitary creature. It was also supposed that it was a distant cousin of the wraid.
