Spencer was a working stiff...er, ghost, who was supposed to scare people for a liv...well, that was his job. He reported to the ghost of a man named "Boss" who died in the 18th century. Spencer was not very good at scaring people, and lamented the troubles of being a ghost, but took solace in the fact that at least he wasn't alive.
